This paper discusses the main non - structural actions to combat flooding in the municipality of Joinville, including the regulation of the occupation of areas with risk of flooding, forecasting and alerts service and code of construction. The main laws are also listed, mainly in the municipal area, referring to the management of water resources in the municipality.
